Dr. Shaolong Hu received his Ph.D. degree in Management Science and Management at Tongji University in 2017. His research interests are in intelligent algorithm and engineering optimization in transportation, logistic and emergency management. He worked at the UTIL lab from Jan 2018 to Jan 2020. He is now an Assistant Professor at the College of Economics and Management at Southwest Jiaotong University in China.
Oluwasegun Gabriel Olanrewaju joined the lab during year 2017-2019. His master thesis is “Pre-positioning Relief Supplies and Supplier Selection Strategy in Disaster Relief”. His work has received the Modeling and Simulation track best student paper of IISE 2019 Annual Conference. He is now a PhD student in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Miami.
Zachary Schneiderman joined the lab when he was a senior student double majoring in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering. He worked on parallel and High Performance Computing (HPC) for stochastic programming from Fall 2017 to Spring 2018. His research work was sponsored by SRC-URO program.
His first position after the UTIL lab is hardware verification intern atAMD.
Paula Andrea Cruz is an undergraduate student of Industrial Engineering at Texas State University. Her research interest is to explore food banks operations in the state of Texas as well as in the nation, which include logistic networks, distribution strategies and supply chain models between suppliers and customers during an emergency.
Her first position after the UTIL lab is engineer at Samsung.
Melina Mijares is an undergraduate student in Texas State, presently doing BSc. in Industrial Engineering in the Ingram School of Engineering. She worked in the UTIL Lab under the sponsorship of NSF SURE program in the summer of 2018.
Her first position after the UTIL lab is Programs Assistant at Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute.
Loraine Ribon is an Industrial Engineering Student at Texas State University. Her research focused on exploring different applications of social media data to solve transportation-related problems. Her work wassponsored by NSF H-LSAMP program and SURE Program.
Her first position after the UTIL lab is Operations Analyst at Minigrip.
Penghui Guo is a Ph.D. student majoring in Management Science and Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China. He visited the UTIL lab at Texas State University from Sep 2019 to Dec 2019. Haichao Chen is a master student of Mechanical Engineering at Southwest Jiaotong University. He received his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2017. He visited the UTIL lab at Texas State University from Sep 2019 to Dec 2019. His research interests include Mathematical Modeling and Intelligent Algorithms in Production Planning Control and Logistics Facility Planning.
